Develop differently

More than 10 principles, a way of designing an industrial product that makes sense.

01Our philosophy

How does Hallauer Innovation develop products differently from others?

Combining together: Design, Technical, Industrialisation, QCD for a coherent product.

02Our method

The 10 principles that guide every project

Preserve what the design tells: the brand identity, the user experience and the message carried by the object. Integrate noble materials or very high-quality finishes.

We work with designers so that the final prototype can be industrialised without distorting its spirit.

An innovative idea often fails because it seems difficult to industrialise.

Our role is to identify the technical obstacles, find the right processes and build a realistic industrial path to turn an innovation into an industrial product.

Integrate several functions into a single component in order to reduce the bill of materials, and therefore assembly operations and therefore the cost price.

Limit the amount of material in components (minimum thickness, ribs...).

This results in limited impact during manufacturing, during transport and through to recycling at end of life.

Plan for disassembly (screws, reversible clips...).

A supplier often offers the processes they master.

Our approach is the opposite: open up the field of possibilities and then select the right partners.

For example, we use what the automotive industry has developed for over a century: Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD), Lean, assembly or decoration processes…

Assess budgets, investments and COGS throughout development.

Each technical choice is put into perspective with its economic impact.

We consult industrial partners anonymously without revealing the client, their project or their strategy.

Experience shows that projects often fail because of unnecessary complexity.

We always favour simple, robust and industrialisable solutions.

The best solution is always the one that comes last, after many iterations.

I solve the product development problems that others cannot solve, while respecting the designer's work.

Combining creativity and pragmatism.
